PIFA Street Fair

On Saturday, April 23, art lovers and party revelers will descend on the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts complex for the annual Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA) Street Fair. The free festival, spanning nine blocks of Broad Street, boasts street stalls, art vendors and food trucks, and it turns this corner of Center City into Philly’s largest outdoor party. The event is the culmination of PIFA, a fortnight-long celebration of theater, dance and visual arts. Philadelphia apartments with balconies in this patch of the city will overlook the festivities, which include street performers and live music.

Go West! Craft Fest near Philly Apartments

Cedar Park, which is less than 7 miles from Ardmore apartments, hosts the biannual music and arts festival Go West! Craft Fest on Saturday, April 30. The free day-long event includes live music, art vendors and food stalls, luring in people from across the city who crave authentic home-cooked food and handmade handicrafts. The gathering, which occurs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., attracts West Philadelphia’s creatives who showcase paintings, sculptures, knit work and jewelry to a diverse crowd. Go West! Craft Fest takes place at the Woodlands (at 40th Street and Woodland).

Night Market Old City

Hundreds of tourists and locals will flock to the cobbled streets of Philadelphia’s historic district on Sunday, May 15 from 6 to 10 p.m. for Night Market Old City, an annual festival of food, music and community. Close to Philadelphia apartments in Old City, the celebration takes place on two blocks of 3rd Street, between Market Street and Race Street, and two blocks of Arch Street, from 2nd Street to 4th Street. You can try a local cast ale at one of three brewery stations or indulge in a late-night snack at one of the many food trucks. The event started in 2010 and is now one of the most-visited free events in Philly.
