Written by on 12.11.15

Practically everyone loves to sit down to a gorgeous Thanksgiving meal. However, not everyone enjoys going to all the work of preparing it. This November 26th, you might find a real treat if you try the spectacular Thanksgiving meals offered at these five Philadelphia restaurants.

Bank and Bourbon

Bank and Bourbon, inside the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, has a lovely prie-fixe three-course meal available on Thanksgiving for your delight. Check in between 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. or 4:00-10:00 p.m. for a traditional feast that is bound to make your taste buds dance. If you would like a less conventional fare, you might order their Skuna Bay salmon or seared trout fillet. The price is $55 for adults and $22 children, but you should make your reservation right away to reserve your seat.

City Tavern

If you prefer your Thanksgiving dinner to feel a little more historic, be sure to check out the City Tavern this year. Enjoy a four-course meal of classic dishes like roasted free-range turkey and Martha Washington’s chocolate mousse cake to give thanks the old-fashioned way. This pleasant, filling meal can be yours for $89.95 per person or $35.95 for children 12 and under. Reservations only for this important yearly event.

Square 1682

Vegetarians and omnivores alike flock to Square 1682 for a taste of true heaven on Thanksgiving Day. If you long for a day when you needn’t simply fill up on mashed potatoes, visit Square 1682 from 8:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. for brunch or 3:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. for dinner. You can take your fill of three courses for $55 a person, including herb-roasted turkey or a savory roasted acorn squash exploding with succulence in every bite. Even if you regularly eat meat, you should check out the vegetarian offerings, which are quite exquisite.

Moshulu

There is nothing quite like dining upon a century-old ship, but this is exactly what you can do at Moshulu. This restaurant offers plenty of variety for your Thanksgiving, especially if you feel a little tired of turkey. You won’t find any turkey here, not on this night. Try out the pan-seared wild striped bass or a 12 oz boneless rib eye. Come for the ambience, stay for the delicious entrées. You don’t even have to worry about getting seasick.

The Twisted Tail

Thanksgiving is a perfect day for family, so The Twisted Tail aims to help make it seem as though yours is just a bit bigger. The Twisted Tail provides an excellent family-style Thanksgiving meal in a traditional style. Feast on turkey, prime rib, glazed ham or organic salmon with a host of side dishes you come to expect on this day. Cut into a whole pie with your neighbors and enjoy the best of the season. The meal is $42 per person and can be ordered for take-out, as well.

This Thanksgiving might be the best one ever, and you do not have to lift a finger in the kitchen. Try out one of these five restaurants in Philadelphia for food, fun and memories galore
