Valentines Day in Philly

Philadelphia has many unique spots where you can shower someone with attention or create a beautiful memory this Valentine’s Day. When you live in Philly apartments, you can introduce someone to a winter they aren’t likely to forget. Consider taking a walking trip out of apartments in Philadelphia this V-day to experience something new with your sweetheart.

1. Go Ice Skating

The Rothman Ice Rink at Dilworth Park allows you to skate in the center of the city. Afterward, you can get hot cocoa and snacks in the Rothman Cabin, a heated tent near the rink. The rink is lit up by all of the tall buildings in downtown. In addition, you can explore sled skating, a sled you can ride in on skates. Ice skating is a quick and fun way to get out of Philadelphia apartments near downtown. For example, Old City apartments and Ardmore Apartments are both less than a seven-minutes drive from Dilworth Park.

2. See Boathouse Row

Boathouse Row is a line of 19th-century boat houses along the Schuylkill River that are all lit up. At night, the lights reflect on the water, creating a pretty scene just west of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The spot isn’t more than an eight-minute drive from Rittenhouse Square Apartments. For the best effect, go around sunset as the light fades into a purple dusk.

3. Check Out the Animals

The Philadelphia Zoo usually hosts “Wild at Heart” Valentine’s Day events, including a self-guided “love tour” of the zoo’s most famous animal couples. This is also a time for many of the animals, like red pandas, to receive special treats. The zoo is only a 15-minute drive from Northern Liberties apartments.

4. Enjoy the Philadelphia Magic Gardens

The Philadelphia Magic Gardens (PMG) is open Valentine’s Day, offering late evening wine and private candlelit tours. The tour features the story of the romance between Isaiah Zagar, the museum and gallery space’s creator, and his wife, Julia. PMG contains many found objects and glittering mosaics. The spot is about a 10-minute drive from Old City apartments.

The tips above show that many apartments in Philly aren’t more than a short drive from attractions and settings that make Valentine’s Day date sparkle. And yet, you don’t even need to leave Philadelphia rentals to have a reason to celebrate. You can also order or cook a delicious dinner and dessert for your loved one. Bringing the enjoyment and warmth of the holiday into your home is a fun way to wind down your romantic adventure.
