Block Parties That Rock Out in Old City
Block parties keep the historical neighborhood of Old City young with events at Penn’s Landing. If you enjoy a crowd and love rock music, check out one of the block parties hosted this summer by Radio 104.5. Penn’s Landing is within biking distance from the Carlyle’s Old City Apartments and easily accessible if you decide to drive from the Papermill Loft Apartments. You’ll encounter an urban vibe of small coffee shops, high-end lofts and hip street cafes along the way, which mix charm and city life in one small community. You can catch rock bands, such as The Struts, on August 7th and near the end of summer on September 18th at Festival’s Pier in the heart of Penn’s Landing.
Hip Hop in the Heart of the City
Hip hop lovers living in Rittenhouse Square apartments, such as Carlyle’s apartment rentals at 2131 Walnut Street, or even on the suburban outskirts near Ardmore Apartments, can head down to the BB & T Pavilion to catch the High Road Tour. The Rittenhouse Square community is a sight with upscale high-rise apartments and outdoor cafes, so having a concert within biking distance makes it all more entertaining and convenient. You’ll see headliners, such as Snoop Dog, Kevin Gates, Wiz Khalifa and Jhene Aiko. You can also catch international DJ and Philly’s own DJ Drama spinning the turntables all on August 4th.

The once-rural neighborhood of Northern Liberties is now a hot spot where you can find outdoor entertainment during the summer, such as the Made in America concert on September 3rd and 4th. This annual Labor Day weekend concert has seen the likes of Jay-Z and Beyonce. Carlyle’s Northern Liberties Apartments and Sky Park aren’t too far away from the outdoor concert venue’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway location.
